An original painted study of a Green Sandpiper, Tringa ochropus.

This bird was probing the mud on the marshes of RSPB Fowlmere. Marsh Harriers were working the reeds, and soon workers arrived to do maintenance work on the waterways. They flushed about eight snipe and the sandpiper. It stayed away the rest of the day but had offered beautiful views for those who saw it.
